Coordinating Team Colombia & Editing Rehearsals – 7/12/2021: A Phil Svitek Vlog…

Last week I focused on coordinating various team members of our upcoming film so that way we were working in unison, as opposed to on parallel tracks (for more context on the project, visit https://igg.me/at/philsvitekfilm). Part of ensuring that was getting an updated script to everyone. We also had our second round of rehearsals and I intercut the new footage with scenes from last time. Slowly but surely we’re seeing it come to life. In discussing rehearsals, I overview my methodology and how the belief of “practice makes permanent” (full episode on the subject here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXxoYIy3p9o) drives my decision making. I also share my trick for editing the takes fast into the timeline. This episode isn’t just for filmmakers. There’s lots of nuggets in there for you to utilize, so enjoy. Thanks for tuning in. Also, feel free to ask questions or offer opinions of your own, whether down in the comment section or by hitting me up on social media @PhilSvitek.
