Define Yourself By What You Have, Not What You Don‘t & Get In the Driver’s Seat of Life…

In the past, I used to look at people I admired and make the mistake of seeing what they had and I didn’t. Why? This didn’t help me. It made me a passenger in life. It gave me the false view that I had no control or ability to do what they did. False. Instead, I am now looking at what I do have in life and I suggest you do the same. When we compare, we’re always going to be able to see what someone has at their disposal. But why can’t we do that for ourselves? I have many resources and talents people wish they had. And you do too. So let’s both stop complaining and actually utilize them. It’s this type of mentality that allowed an early 20s Robert Rodriguez to complete an action film for $7,000. And he’s not an exception. Plenty of people seemingly do the impossible every day. They do it by focusing on what they have. That’s how they define themselves, not by what they don’t. The don’t aspect they can’t control. But they can utilize what they have. And that puts them in the driver’s seat of life, a much better place to be. Trust me. I’m learning it firsthand.
