Don’t Sweat The Details During First Drafts…

Steven Pressfield’s The War of Art is all about combating Resistance in our creative work. One such aspect of resistance shows up during first drafts (whether in music, writing, video editing, etc). It’s the voice that tells us the word we wrote could be better. It tells us that edit could be finesses better. It’s trying to get us into the weeds of it all. That’s not the goal of the first draft.
