Daily Mail published an article (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8513727/Actors-writers-producers-warn-reverse-racism-film-industry.html?fbclid=IwAR1f_02rmE3VLhaOIEy8X-KzAWZLBylafJ9nuFxrA9h6O7JgWnxexHA7zkg) titled: “Hollywood’s identity crisis: Actors, writers and producers warn of ‘reverse racism’ in the film industry which has created a ‘toxic’ climate for anyone who is a white, middle-age man”. This headline grabbed me because it’s a bold claim that I personally haven’t seen the evidence of yet since I’m still seeing constant casting news of white actors and producers (ex: https://deadline.com/2020/07/wolfman-ryan-gosling-leigh-whannell-universal-pictures-blumhouse-the-invisible-man-1202980413/). So I wanted to explore this. But rather than me offer a perspective, I wanted to allow my friend Courtney Stewart (@StewarStarLit) to offer hers.
