Let’s Talk About White Fragility: What It Means, Plus How It Affects You & Me!…

Author Robin DiAngelo (https://robindiangelo.com/) wrote a book called “White Fragility” where she examines why white people as afraid to talk about racism. It’s a very interesting perspective that I’d not considered before her because it forces society to really look into a mirror in close proximity. Sure, the KKK are racist. But at least they’re easy to spot. But when you don’t vote, that’s a form of racism. When I first heard that, my mind was blown. Namely because how that type of racism is much more commonplace than the KKK and affects for more people. That form of racism holds the very structure of our society. But it’s not society, it’s really us. We need to talk about these realities in order to bring them to light. And that’s what I invite you to do with me via this self reflection. Please, please, please comment down below with your opinions on this subject. It’s a tricky one for sure but if we’re all honest, kind, compassionate and patient, I believe we all stand to benefit. Let’s use this as a means of self discovery rather than shame and hatred.
