Natalie Kingston Interview (Cinematographer for Black Bird on Apple TV+)…

Natalie Kingston (@nataliekingston) is a cinematographer, having worked on movies such as Lost Bayou, The Wolf Of Snow Hollow and Shapeless. Recently, she finished up shooting Black Bird for Apple TV+ which premieres July 8th. Black Bird is a crime drama limited series developed by Dennis Lehane, based on the 2010 autobiographical novel In With The Devil: A Fallen Hero, A Serial Killer, and A Dangerous Bargain for Redemption by James Keene. As part of the true story, Jimmy Keene is offered his freedom in exchange for coaxing a confession out of suspected serial killer Larry Hall and finding out where his victims are buried. Taron Egerton stars as James Keene, Paul Walter Hauser as Larry Hall, Greg Kinnear as Brian Miller, Sepideh Moafi as Lauren McCauley, and Ray Liotta as James “Big Jim” Keene. In our interview, Natalie and I discuss various aspects of the behind the scenes process of putting this story on film.
