Patience Pays Off – 3/29/2021: A Phil Svitek Vlog…

Thanks for checking out my vlog, where I highlight my creative journey to offer inspiration and specific take-aways for you. In this episode, I talk about how patience pays off and what a difference a year makes. It was around this time last year that I started sending out query letters to literary agents and publishers. And after many, many, MANY rejections, I was ready to say “let me just self publish.” And then I get a response from someone saying they’d like to read the full manuscript! And it’s at company that also represents scripts. The timing for me couldn’t be better since I have both, and a new novel idea to boot. I discuss the lessons learned from this experience, namely you never know when your opportunity will arrive and that’s why you can’t beat yourself up over supposed “missed opportunities” as long as you continue working hard.
