Redefine What Risky Business Truly Means – 11/30/2020: A Phil Svitek Vlog…
Last week was Thanksgiving week, so yes, I talk about that. But beforehand, I discuss Emerson’s TV and feature film pitch fest. I share the lessons learned from the experience and also how it’s good to see people you know succeeding. We need more recognition and praise of that kind. To that end, I highlight how Jordan VanDina, who I went to school with, is creating content and honing his craft while making a name for himself via Weekend Scripts (http://weekendscripts.com/). As far as my stuff goes, I go into the need to sometimes unplug and just do what’s needed vs what’s on the wish list. So, last week I only focused on unwinding and working on In Search of Sunrise, the next feature film I want to make. Tied in with that, I had to get creative based on a problem that came up. See, the undertaking of this movie is a risky business. But it’s only risky at the start. Once you break things down into bite sized problems and look for solutions, it becomes less risky. So listen and afterwards, please feel free to ask questions or offer opinions of your own, whether down in the comment section or by hitting me up on social media @PhilSvitek.
