What Radical Candor Is & Benefits of Employing Its Techniques in Communication…

Throughout history, there’s been the troupe of an asshole boss or leader. Why is that? Simply put, because it works. But is that the best method? No, there’s a better way to achieve the same thing and it’s called Radical Candor, termed by Kim Scott (https://www.radicalcandor.com/). In this episode, I explain the four quadrants of her principle: ruinous empathy, manipulative insecurity, obnoxious aggression and radical candor (diagram). I highlight Bob Iger (former Disney CEO) as an example of someone who uses radical candor. I also explore why radical candor does work, through the ideas of Simon Sinek. Now, this concept isn’t just beneficial for business. It truly increases the effectiveness of any communication and strengthens all relationships (friends, family, coworkers, etc).
