Storytelling has always been my greatest passion. While I hold a deep appreciation for the visual medium, I’ve discovered the profound magic of the written word—the ability to transport readers into vividly imagined worlds. This love for storytelling led me to the realm of novel writing.
At the same time, I firmly believe that if you are successful, you owe the next generation a roadmap. It’s why I channel my writing skills into non-fiction books tailored to empower artists in their pursuit of success. In these books, I blend technical theory with practical wisdom and personal development insights, all vital to the journey of becoming a successful digital artist. Hence why I call myself a 360 Creative Coach.
Here, you’ll find a collection of my available books. Additionally, I offer you a glimpse into my works in progress. I hope you find something that resonates and if you enjoy my writing, please consider sharing my books with friends and on social media.

Book Club

Due to our shared passion for books, my dear friend Marisa Serafini (@SerafiniTV) and I co-host a monthly book club. We invite you to become a part of our expanding community of book enthusiasts as we delve into the carefully chosen pages of a new book each month. We encourage you to read along with us and even suggest future book selections, nurturing a dynamic community bound together by our love for reading. Furthermore, we will also be sharing our personal reading recommendations and discoveries beyond our featured picks, creating a central hub for book lovers to discover and connect.

Welcome to our 32nd episode in the monthly book discussion series hosted by Marisa Serafini (@serafinitv) and myself, Phil Svitek. If books are your passion, you've come to the right place!

In this episode, we delve into Near To the Wild Heart which is a novel by Clarice Lispector.

Near to the Wild Heart (Perto do coração selvagem) is Clarice’s debut novel, written from March to November 1942 and published around her twenty-third birthday in December 1943. The novel, written in a stream-of-consciousness style reminiscent of the English-language Modernists, centers on the childhood and early adulthood of a character named Joana, who bears strong resemblance to her author: "Madame Bovary, c'est moi", Lispector said, quoting Gustave Flaubert, when asked about the similarities. The book, particularly its revolutionary language, brought its young, unknown creator to great prominence in Brazilian letters and earned her the prestigious Graça Aranha Prize.

In this bonus book club episode, Marisa Serafini (@SerafiniTV) and I delve into RF Kuang’s final book in The Poppy War trilogy, called The Burning God.

In this final chapter, after saving her nation of Nikan from foreign invaders and battling the evil Empress Su Daji in a brutal civil war, Fang Runin was betrayed by allies and left for dead. Despite her losses, Rin hasn’t given up on those for whom she has sacrificed so much—the people of the southern provinces and especially Tikany, the village that is her home. Returning to her roots, Rin meets difficult challenges—and unexpected opportunities. While her new allies in the Southern Coalition leadership are sly and untrustworthy, Rin quickly realizes that the real power in Nikan lies with the millions of common people who thirst for vengeance and revere her as a goddess of salvation. Backed by the masses and her Southern Army, Rin will use every weapon to defeat the Dragon Republic, the colonizing Hesperians, and all who threaten the shamanic arts and their practitioners. As her power and influence grows, though, will she be strong enough to resist the Phoenix’s intoxicating voice urging her to burn the world and everything in it?

Welcome to our 30th episode in the monthly book discussion series hosted by Marisa Serafini (@serafinitv) and myself, Phil Svitek. If books are your passion, you've come to the right place!

In this episode, we delve into Elder Race which is a novel by Adrian Tchaikovsky.

In it, Lynesse is the lowly Fourth Daughter of the queen, and always getting in the way. But a demon is terrorizing the land, and now she’s an adult (albeit barely) with responsibilities (she tells herself). Although she still gets in the way, she understands that the only way to save her people is to invoke the pact between her family and the Elder sorcerer who has inhabited the local tower for as long as her people have lived here (though none in living memory has approached it). But Elder Nyr isn’t a sorcerer, and he is forbidden to help, and his knowledge of science tells him the threat cannot possibly be a demon…

Welcome to our 27th episode in the monthly book discussion series hosted by Marisa Serafini (@serafinitv) and myself, Phil Svitek. If books are your passion, you've come to the right place!

In this episode, we delve into On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous which is the debut novel by Vietnamese-American poet Ocean Vuong.

On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous is a letter from a son to a mother who cannot read. Written when the speaker, Little Dog, is in his late twenties, the letter unearths a family’s history that began before he was born — a history whose epicenter is rooted in Vietnam — and serves as a doorway into parts of his life his mother has never known, all of it leading to an unforgettable revelation. At once a witness to the fraught yet undeniable love between a single mother and her son, it is also a brutally honest exploration of race, class, and masculinity. Asking questions central to our American moment, immersed as we are in addiction, violence, and trauma, but undergirded by compassion and tenderness, On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous is as much about the power of telling one’s own story as it is about the obliterating silence of not being heard.

With stunning urgency and grace, Ocean Vuong writes of people caught between disparate worlds, and asks how we heal and rescue one another without forsaking who we are. The question of how to survive, and how to make of it a kind of joy, powers the most important debut novel of many years.

Welcome to our 26th episode in the monthly book discussion series hosted by Marisa Serafini (@serafinitv) and myself, Phil Svitek. If books are your passion, you've come to the right place!

In this episode, we delve into The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian. It is a first-person narrative novel by Sherman Alexie, from the perspective of a Native American teenager, Arnold Spirit Jr., also known as "Junior," a 14-year-old promising cartoonist. The book is about Junior's life on the Spokane Indian Reservation and his decision to go to a nearly all-white public high school away from the reservation. The graphic novel includes 65 comic illustrations that help further the plot.

Although critically acclaimed, The Absolutely True Diary has also been the subject of controversy and has consistently appeared on the annual list of frequently challenged books since 2008, becoming the most frequently challenged book from 2010 to 2019. Controversy stems from how the novel describes alcohol, poverty, bullying, violence, sexuality and bulimia. As a result, a small collective of schools have challenged it, and some schools have blocked the book from distribution in school libraries or inclusion in the curricula.

The Absolutely True Diary Of A Part-Time Indian (Sherman Alexie) In-Depth Book Discussion

Join the conversation! Share your thoughts, queries, and viewpoints in the comments or connect with Marisa (@serafinitv) and me on social media.

In our upcoming discussion, we'll explore On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vaung.
